Regular Season Round 7: Taiwan Beer - Yulon Luxgen 70-63

An exciting game was when Leader Taiwan Beer faced their biggest opponent Yulon Luxgen. Taiwan Beer (14-0) defeated Yulon Luxgen (9-6) 70-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Yulon Luxgen. Taiwan Beer dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Yulon Luxgen's 22. Taiwan Beer forced 19 Yulon Luxgen turnovers. Strangely Yulon Luxgen outrebounded Taiwan Beer 46-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American forward JD Miller (203-96, college: TCU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The former international point guard Yu-An Chang (174-91) helped adding 11 points and 6 assists. At the losing side point guard Li Kai-Yan (182-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and U.S. Virgin Islands forward Rakeem Christmas (206-91, college: Syracuse) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Taiwan Beer have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-0 record. Loser Yulon Luxgen keeps the second position with six games lost. Taiwan Beer will again meet league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yulon Luxgen will play against Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
