Regular Season Round 27: Hokkaido L. - Shinshu BW 62-59

There was an upset when higher ranked Shinshu BW (10-17) was edged by tenth ranked Hokkaido L. (7-20) in Saporro 62-59 on Sunday. American players dominated also this game. It was a good game for forward Nick Mayo (206-97, college: EKU, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Jordan Taylor (187-89, college: Wisconsin, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Hokkaido L.'s coach Yuta Miyanaga allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) added 8 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Shinshu BW. Hokkaido L. moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Kyoto H. Newly promoted Shinshu BW keeps the fifth position with 17 games lost. Hokkaido L. will face Yokohama BC (#8) at home in the next round. Shinshu BW will play against Toyama G. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
