Japan, South Korea, China and Taiwan advance into semifinal stage

India - Japan 37-70
Japan drubbed India en route to the semifinal stage in Incheon. Maya Kawahara (167-G-87) recorded 10 points for the winners. Japan piled up a 36:18 halftime lead. They went on a 22:9 rally in the third term to clear off for good. Rui Machida (161-PG-93) tossed in 9 points for the winners. Akula and Raspreet Sidhu (169-F-89) had 9 points each in the loss.

Mongolia - South Korea 41-124
South Korea stormed past Mongolia at the quarterfinal stage of the tournament. Kim Danbi (180-F-90) registered 27 points and 8 rebounds to lead the hosts to a comfortable victory. South Korea accounted for a 60:19 halftime lead. They dropped 64 points in the second half to seal the victory. Kwak Joo-Young (185-F/C-84) netted 18 points in the victory. Ganzul Davaasuren (170-G-88) had 13 points for Mongolia.

China - Kazakhstan 71-57
China fired past Kazakhstan to advance into the semifinal stage of the Asian Games. Liu Dan (194-C-87) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. China recorded a 41:26 halftime lead. Kazakhstan slowed their opponents down in the second half but could overcome the deficit. Yu Dong (195-C-93) provided 12 points for the winners. Nadezhda Kondrakova (190-C-89) responded with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the loss.

Taiwan - Thailand 98-44
Taiwan cruised past Thailand in the quarterfinal stage of the tournament. Huang Ping-Chen (178-F-89) stepped up with 20 points and 8 steals to lead the effort. Taiwan opened a 53:22 halftime lead and never looked back en route to the victory. Lan Jui-Yu (170-G-83) accounted for 18 points for the winners. Penphan Yothanan (170-C-83) responded with 11 points for Thailand. Atchara Kaichaiyapoom (178-C-92) had 10 points in the loss.
