Group AJapan - Iran 66-68Tough game but Iran managed to win this game and go to the Quarter-Finals. Such a dramatic ending to this Group Stage for Iranian National Team. They needed the win to advance and they did it! Insane contribution from Starting Five players (66 out of 68 points), 39 total rebounds. MVP award goes to Mohammad Amini (192-G-2005, agency: BIG) who scored 23 points and had 6 rebounds, the true leader of his team. The second best in Iran was Mohsen Asgarinia (198-F-2004) with 10 points and 12 rebounds. In Japan, Tajon Jacobs (201-SG-2004) came strongly from the bench with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists for a total index of 17. Group BSouth Korea - China 74-89Despite the loss in this game, South Korea managed to advance to the knockout phase where they will face the National Team of Iran in 1/4 of this tournament. This game was from beginning to end in China's favor. They controlled the game and won comfortably with 15 points margin. China will face Qatar in the Knock-Out round. Liu Lijia (206-C-2004) scored 18 points, had 9 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists for 28 index points, Wang Haoran (2004) was second best in China with 18 points and 9 rebounds. In South Korea Lee Juyeong (2004) had a blast of a game with 24 points and 4 assists. Group CSyria - Qatar 66-83This game was 'win-or-go-home' for Qatar and they won it! A strong performance against the Syrian Team and they are advancing now to the 1/4 Finals where they will play against China. Both teams are having identical statistics but the key to this win was the better shooting of the Qatar Team and they were calmer when it was most important. Qatar was led by Moustapha Ndao (188-C-2005) with 20 points, and 10 assists for his double-double performance, he also collected 4 assists and 3 steals for a total index of 21 and when he was on the court Qatar dominated the game as he had +/-30 alongside his name. In Syrian team's best was Omar Makanas (2004) with 20 points and 8 rebounds, we need to mention also Mohamed Eid (195-C-2004) who grabbed 11 rebounds had 5 steals, and also contributed to the Syrian record with 7 points total. Taiwan - Philippines 73-84 This was the game for the No.1 spot in this group and the Philippines showed how dominant they are over their opponents from Group C. They grab their third win in a row and finish this group with a 3-0 record which will arrange them 'meeting' against Lebanon in the 1/4 Finals. Taiwan will play against Japan in the knock-out phase. Mason Amos (201-C-2004) with another amazing game, this time with 28 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. James Nacua (193-SG-2004) scored 16 points.
