Group ALebanon - Japan 63-84Japan managed to record their first win on their opening of this tournament, beating Lebanon with a comfortable margin of +21. They controlled the game from beginning to end, winning three out of four quarters. They lost only the third period of the game with 23:19 but that was not nearly enough for Lebanon to endanger them. Group BIndia - South Korea 63-100South Korea joined China in first place with a 1-0 record after this game. Korea beat India with a +37 point difference. Winning all four quarters with a 5+ point difference. India was led by Udit Ravish (198-PF-2004) with 18 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists, Harsh Dagar (189-SG-2005) who played all 40 minutes, scored 15 points and had 6 rebounds and 6 assists. For South Korea, five players scored at least 13 points, while Lee Juyeong (2004) had 21 and three more players had 17 points alongside their names. Lee added also 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. But MVP of this game was Lee ChaeHyung (2004) with a triple-double with steals+points+assists, quite extraordinary. He combined 13 points, 10 assists, and 10 steals. He was 5 rebounds away from a quadruple double. Group CSyria - Taiwan 60-81Chang Chun-Sheng (183-F-2004) led his Taiwan National Team to a second victory in this tournament and now they are sitting with a 2-0 record, the same as the Philippines, sharing first place in their group. CHANG scored 21 points and had 6 assists and 5 rebounds for a total index of 19. Kuo Chun-Yen (2005) also had 19 index points with 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Qatar - Philippines 61-77 The second half was key for this game and the Philippines victory. They managed to play a lot better in the second twenty minutes mark as they won the third quarter with 13:20 and the last period of the game with 13:23 for a victory of 77:61. They are still perfect after two rounds with a 2-0 record and they will play in the knockout phase of this tournament. Mason Amos (201-C-2004) scored 19 points and had 7 rebounds for a total index of 20. In Qatar National Team, Mohammed Abbasher (198-F-2004) and Moustapha Ndao (188-C-2005) each scored 14 points, while Abbasher added also 10 rebounds and 4 assists to his name.
