Bahrain, China, Japan and New Zealand reach quarterfinals

Taiwan - Bahrain 65-76
Bahrain edged Taiwan to enter the quarterfinal stage in Nonthaburi. Mustafa Rashed (177-PG-02) and Baqer Ali produced 23 points each for the winners. Bahrain accumulated a 26:16 lead after ten minutes. Taiwan narrowed the distance in the second term and eventually surged ahead for a 39:35 halftime lead. But Bahrain responded with a strong 20:3 rally in the third term to regain the advantage. They protected the lead throughout the final period and rallied to the win. Yan-Ting Lin answered with 19 points for Taiwan.

China - Indonesia 102-45
China advanced into the quarterfinal stage as they stormed past Indonesia. Haonan Chen (195-F/G-00) posted 18 points to lead the winners. China accumulated a 57:19 halftime lead. They dropped 30 points in the third term to build an insurmountable lead. Borun Li (188-G-00) added 16 points for China. Yesaya Michael (177-PG-00) answered with 13 points for Indonesia.

Japan - Lebanon 85-67
Japan outscored Lebanon behind 28 points from Keisei Tominaga (180-G-01). Lebanon posted a 22:11 lead after ten minutes. But Japan went on a 29:15 run to take a 40:37 halftime lead. Japan then used a 26:13 run in the third frame to build a comfortable 16-point lead. Japan maintained the advantage throughout the fourth period and raced to the win. Hiroki Matsuzaki (192-G/F-00) had 17 points in the victory. Alexander Zanbaka (196-PF-02) topscored with 21 points and 9 rebounds for Lebanon.

New Zealand - India 109-76
New Zealand cruised past India to enter the quarterfinal stage. James Moors (204-F/C-00) scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win. New Zealand recorded a 52:42 halftime lead. They added 57 points in the second half to cruise to the victory. Matthew OConnell had 15 points for the winning side. Rajveer Bhati (188-G-02) replied with 14 points for India.
