Al Ula (D1) signed 31-year-old Tunisian ex-international 188cm swingman Houda Hamrouni for the upcoming Arab Clubs Championships season. She had been playing for Al Ittihad for the past two years. Last summer (2024), she was with Sabis Sporting Club in the Iraqi league.

She was also a member of the Tunisian international program for some years. Hamrouni played for Tunisian Senior National Team between 2017 and 2021 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2012.
She is a very experienced player. Thanks to pro basketball, she experienced life in seven different countries playing on three different continents. Hamrouni is familiar with European, Asian, and African leagues. She has played previously in Bahrain (Bapco), Iraq, Jordan (Al Riyadi), Kuwait (Qurain), Slovenia (Celje), and Tunisia (ES Cap Bon, CSP Circulacion, and Ezzahra Sport).

In addition to making it to the Arab Club Championships Semifinals in 2022, Hamrouni was voted the Asia-Basket.com All-Jordanian D1 League Best Blocker of the Year in 2022.
