Important game to mention about took place in Ahvaz. Eighth ranked Khouzestan (2-11) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked Qazvin (5-7) 89-87 on Sunday evening. Khouzestan shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. Qazvin was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Chris Ware (203-89, college: Indiana Tech) scored 26 points to lead the charge for the winners and the former international center Ali Doraghi (210-84) chipped in 9 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Malcolm Grant (185-88, college: Miami, FL, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 assists and American-German center Waverly Austin (211-91, college: Oregon) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field).
