Raymond
Almazan
The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters is sending Raymond Almazan (206-C-89) to the Meralco Bolts in exchange for a pair of future first-round picks.

The beleaguered center was a third overall pick in the 2013 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Rookie Draft and has been a vital cog in the Elasto Painters' campaign throughout the years.

Alamzan have been a two-time all-star and a member of the Philippine National Team numerous times in six years with former Rain or Shine with coach Yeng Guiao at the helm.

But a strained relationship with Guiao's successor, Caloy Garcia, had the performance of the lanky center dwindled and only suited up for six games in the ongoing PBA Philippine Cup averaging just 8.0 points and 6.0 rebounds.

In other news, all twelve teams have already secured respective imports for the upcoming PBA Commissioner's Cup which is slated to open on May 19 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Defending champions Barangay Ginebra San Miguel will be bringing back old reliable Justin Brownlee (197-F-88, college: St.John's) and looking to secure a back-to-back in the mid-season conference.

The San Miguel Beermen are tapping the services of Charles Rhodes (203-F/C-85, college: Mississippi St.), the same import who led the Beermen to the 2017 Commissioner's Cup championship.

The Elasto Painters is parading former B-Meg import Denzel Bowles (208-F/C-89, college: JMU), who led the Llamados to the 2012 crown and is returning to the league after three years.

Bowles will be reuniting with former B-Meg teammate James Yap (190-SG-82).

The Magnolia Hotshots hired the services of former Columbian Dyip reinforcement John Fields (205-F/C-88, college: Tennessee), who led the Singapore Slingers to the ASEAN Basketball League finals.

The Alaska Aces opted for the 35-year old veteran Chris Daniels (205-C-84, college: Texas A&M-CC) who played in Korea, the National Basketball Association (NBA) G-League, and Lebanon.

NorthPort Batang Pier is bringing former University of Texas Longhorn Prince Ibeh (208-C-94, college: Texas).

Ibeh went undrafted in 2016 and has played in the NBA G-League and in Japan.

Former Star Hotshot Tony Mitchell (203-F-92, college: N.Texas) will now be playing for the NLEX Road Warriors while former Bolts import Alex Stepheson (208-F/C-87, college: USC) is suiting up for Blackwater Elite.

Returning import Robert Dozier (206-F-85, college: Memphis) will be reinforcing Philippine Cup top seed Phoenix Pulse Fuel Masters reuniting with former Aces teammates Calvin Abueva (190-F-88) and RJ Jazul (180-G-86).

Former ABL's Saigon Heat import Kyle Barone (203-C-89, college: Idaho) will be strutting his wares with Columbian who are out to redeem their campaign after a mediocre showing in the Philippine Cup.

Meralco is gambling with European league veteran Gani Lawal (206-F/C-88, college: Georgia Tech), who has vast experience including a stint in the NBA.

Probably the most celebrated among the list of imports, the TNT KaTropa enlisted the services of athletic forward Terrence Jones (206-F-92, college: Kentucky).

Jones have played for the NBA's Houston Rockets and have been a regular rotation player during its campaign from 2012 to 2016.

The 6-9, 27-year old forward also had stints in the G-League and the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
