Belent - Falcons 96:68

Belent clinched the first win at the Asia Club Championship in Beirut. The Turkmenistan side outgunned Falcons for 1-1 record. Pavel Averyanov (202-F-87) accounted for 18 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side.
Falcon ensured a 22:21 lead after ten minutes. The Turkmenistan team turned things around in the second quarter. They fired 29 points in the frame to post a 50:33 halftime advantage. Belent stayed in front in the third frame. They secured a 70:46 advantage at the final intermission. Belent cruised to the victory in the fourth quarter. Samender Juginisov (204-F/C-87) had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Aleksandr Kozlov (200-F-82) netted 17 points for Belent. Nemekhbayar Battulga (G-81) answered with 18 points for Falcon. Temuujin Ariunbold (G-92) chipped in 16 points in the loss.

Turkmenistan U16 came back from the tournament in Taraz as they participated amongst three other teams. In Day 1 Turkmenistan U16 lost to Kazakhstan 41-97. Later Uzbekistan U16 posted an 84-64 win over Turkmenistan. In the last game Turkmenistan U16 overcame Kyrgyzstan U16 59-51. Kazakhstan U16 advances to Asian Championships as they won the tournament of four teams.   [read more]

Turkmenistan celebrate 3x3 title - 3 Years ago
Turkmenistan celebrated 3x3 international tournament title at home court. In the final they beat another representative from the country 21-12. The players who contributed in the win were Toyli Bayriev, Merdan Hodzhamedov, Aleksandr Pashkov (193-G-85) and Maksim Otbozina. Kyrgyzstan ended up at the third place. The total of 16 teams represented 8 countries at the tournament from Turkey, Iran, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and home Turkmenistan.   [read more]

Asia Club Championship: Duhok rally past Belent for Bronze - 7 Years ago
Duhok - Belent 73:58 Duhok finished their Asia Club Championship on a high note. The Iraqi team overcame Belent to clinch the third position at the tourney. Jenero Gorgiss (185-G/F-82) stepped up with 26 points to lead the charge. Duhok posted a narrow 20:17 lead ten minutes into the encounter. The Iraqi team stretched the gap in the second quarter. Duhok accumulated a 39:31 halftime advantage. Duhok kept Belent at distance throughout the third term   [read more]
