Regular Season Round 7: Dragons - Warriors 73-69

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Warriors' (2-6) road loss to fifth ranked Dragons (4-6) 69-73 on Sunday. Dragons made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American point guard Ed Horton (186-1985, college: Murray St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Filipino point guard Michael Soy (182-1997, college: Algonquin) helped adding 25 points and 5 rebounds. Horton is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Dragons' coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Clay Guillozet (193-1997, college: Valdosta St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists and naturalized American Justin Young (193-1993) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Dragons have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 4-6 record. Warriors lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with six games lost. Dragons will meet higher ranked Buffaloes (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Warriors will play against Dolphins and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
