Second Stage Round 4: T-REX - Tigers 47-94
Date: August 6, 2023
Bottom-ranked T-REX is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fourth ranked Tigers (2-2) 94-47 on Sunday evening. Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to T-REX's 32. Tigers forced 21 T-REX turnovers and had a 37-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by T-REX's players. The winners were led by Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Takamin Sirijariyaporn (181-1997) supported him with 25 points. Five Tigers players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 9 rebounds by American Tevis Robinson (198-1995, college: JWU, FL) did not help to save the game for T-REX. His fellow American import point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) added 11 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers moved-up to third place, which they share with Pythons. T-REX at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Wave. Tigers will meet Pythons (#4) in the next round. T-REX will play against Wave and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
