Regular Season Round 7: T-REX - Tigers 91-83
Date: July 18, 2023
The most surprising game was the first loss of Tigers (6-1) in Nakhon Ratchasima on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked T-REX (4-3) 91-83. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Tigers. T-REX looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for American Tevis Robinson (198-1995, college: JWU, FL) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) helped adding 22 points, 17 rebounds, 14 assists and 7 steals. Robinson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Nattapat Biasumrit responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and guard Takamin Sirijariyaporn (181-1997) scored 23 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tigers' coach Chakrapan Chuithaisong rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. T-REX moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Devil Rays and Pythons. Tigers at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. T-REX is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Kings (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tigers will play against Mammoth (#9) and are hoping to win this game.
