Regular Season Round 2: T-REX - Eagles 123-91

Rather expected game in Nakhon Ratchasima where Eagles were rolled over by T-REX 123-91 on Sunday. T-REX forced 20 Eagles turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 20 passes made by Eagles' players. Filipino point guard Jeff Dumelod Viernes (172-1989) scored 54 points (!!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) chipped in 21 points, 16 rebounds, 17 assists and 7 steals during the contest. Scharer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four T-REX players scored in double figures. Filipino guard Patrick Cabahug (186) responded with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Patrick Tchuente produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds. T-REX will meet at home Devil Rays in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Eagles will have a break next round.
