Second Stage Round 1: Bangkok Tigers - Dunkin' Raptors 110-79

There was no surprise when Dunkin' Raptors were crushed on the road by Bangkok Tigers 110-79. Bangkok Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Dunkin' Raptors' 46. They outrebounded Dunkin' Raptors 54-36 including 19 on the offensive glass. Bangkok Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Dunkin' Raptors' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Jose Nouchanthavong (187, college: S.Maine) contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Nouchanthavong is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Five Bangkok Tigers players scored in double figures. Bangkok Tigers' coach N. Wongwat felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Avery Scharer (185-1986, college: Shoreline CC) answered with a double-double by scoring 51 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and the former international Toby Sathitsumpan (182-2001) added 15 points in the effort for Dunkin' Raptors. Bangkok Tigers will play against TGE in the next round. Dunkin' Raptors will play against SWU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
