Regular Season Round 8: T-REX - Bangkok Tigers 57-73

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Bangkok Tigers (7-1) beat bottom-ranked T-REX (0-8) in Nakhon Ratchasima 73-57 on Sunday. Bangkok Tigers forced 26 T-REX turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 21 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Takamin Sirijariyaporn who scored that evening 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals and Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) supported him with 11 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Bangkok Tigers players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks by American forward Alex Smith (201-1988, college: BCU) did not help to save the game for T-REX. Patchaya Dumdon added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Bangkok Tigers keep a position of league leader, which they share with Hitech and Devil Rays. Loser T-REX still closes the standings with eight games lost. Bangkok Tigers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bangkok Hitech.
