Regular Season Round 8: Mad Goat - SWU 84-81

Important game to mention about took place in Nakorn Phantom. Eighth ranked Mad Goat (2-6) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 5th ranked SWU (3-5) 84-81 on Sunday evening. Mad Goat dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to SWU's 38. They outrebounded SWU 55-25 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mad Goat players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Polish Robert Kowalczyk (202-1995) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 28 rebounds (on 16-of-19 shooting from the field) and the former international Danai Kongkum (193-1985) who added 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Mad Goat's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Guard Chatchon Kamchoo (176) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Noppachai Thongpool (190) scored 24 points and 5 steals. Four SWU players scored in double figures. Mad Goat maintains eighth position with 2-6 record. SWU at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Thunders. Mad Goat will play against Shoot it Dragon (#9) in the next round. SWU will play against the league's leader Devil Rays and will have a slim chance for a victory.
