Very significant wasTigers ' (#1, 18-2) victory against second-ranked Chunghwa Telecom (9-11) 83-43 . Cathay Life dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Chunghwa Telecom 's 22. Cathay Life forced 21 Chunghua T. turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 31 on the defensive glass. Cathay Life players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The winners were led by center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Ling-Chuan Huang (175-1994) supported her with 20 points. Five Tigers players scored in double figures. Even 7 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Oshlynn Brown (185, college: Rutgers) did not help to save the game for Chunghua T. . Guard Yu-Ting Wang (165) added 6 points for Cathay Life . The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tigers (18-2) have an impressive 14-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Chunghua T. at the other side keeps the second place with 11 games lost.
