Very significant wasTigers ' (#1, 9-2) victory against 4th placed Taiyuan Textile (4-7) 74-61 . Cathay Life outrebounded Taiyuan T. 42-22 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Cathay Life players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 21 rebounds. The former international forward Ling-Chuan Huang (175-1994) accounted for 22 points for the winning side. Guard Yu-Lin Ye (163) came up with 13 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Xi-Ye Liu (173-1991) added 12 points respectively for Taiyuan T. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers (9-2) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Taiyuan T. at the other side stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. They share it with Taipower.
