Regular Season Round 8: Taipower - Taiyuan T. 70-57

Very significant was Power's (#3, 4-4) victory against one of their biggest challengers Taiyuan Textile (3-5) 70-57. The winners were led by guard Yi-Ting Dai (175-1995) who scored that evening 16 points and the former international Yi-Wen Zhang (173-1996) supported her with 11 points and 5 assists. Power's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds by center Wei-Qing Liao (180) did not help to save the game for Taiyuan T.. The former international center Wen-Yu Lin (180-1995) added 11 points and 6 rebounds for Taipower. Taipower (4-4) moved-up to second place. Taiyuan T. at the other side stay at the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with Chunghua T.. Taipower will play against Chunghua T. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Taiyuan T. will play against the league's leader Cathay Life and hopes to get back on the winning track.
