Taiyuan Textile outrebounded Cathay Life 41-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Taiyuan Textile made 7 blocks. 24 personal fouls committed by Cathay Life helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-1998) fired 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American center Yemiyah Morris (198-1998, college: WVU) chipped in 9 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks. The former international Wei-An Chen (177-1995) produced 35 points (!!!) and Australian center Cayla George (193-1989) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
