Very important is a loss of third ranked Chunghwa Telecom (5-19) against fourth ranked Taipower (5-19) on Sunday night. Chunghwa Telecom was defeated by Taipower 66-51. Taipower outrebounded Chunghua T. 48-31 including 23 on the offensive glass. Wei-Qing Liao orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Qin-Yu Huang contributed with 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Yushu Lin (168-1996) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Hui-Ju Liu (163-1996) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Chunghua T.Taipower moved-up to third place, which they share with Chunghua T. Chunghua T. lost third consecutive game.
