Regular Season Round 33: Kings - Lioneers 104-95

Very predictable result when first ranked Kings (27-12) defeated bottom-ranked Lioneers (12-26) 104-95 on Tuesday. Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Lioneers' 40. They outrebounded Lioneers 54-41 including 44 on the defensive glass. Kings looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman Kenny Manigault (195-1991, college: Pikeville) who had a triple-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. The former international power forward Quincy Davis (203-1983, college: Tulane) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian forward Anthony Bennett (203-1993, college: UNLV) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Kuo-Hao Kao (179-1998) added 22 points respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kings maintains first place with 27-12 record. Lioneers lost eighth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 26 games lost. Kings will again meet bottom-ranked Lioneers (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lioneers will play against the league's second-placed Fubon Braves and hope to secure a win.
