Regular Season Round 31: Fubon Braves - Pilots 86-95

An exciting game was when Third ranked Pilots faced their biggest opponent Fubon Braves. Pilots (18-18) defeated Fubon Braves (22-13) 95-86. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Fubon Braves. They outrebounded Fubon Braves 53-39 including 38 on the defensive glass. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Jeff Ayres (206-1987, college: Arizona St., agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 25 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side Ukrainian power forward Igor Zaytsev (210-1989, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and American power forward Chris Johnson (210-1985, college: LSU) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pilots maintains third place with 18-18 record having five points less than leader Kings. Loser Fubon Braves keep the second position with 13 games lost. Pilots will meet Dreamers (#4) in the next round. Fubon Braves will play against Lioneers in Hsinchu and hope to secure a win.
