Regular Season Round 13: Yulon Luxgen - Taiwan Beer 70-72

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Yulon Luxgen (8-6) against third ranked Taiwan Beer on Saturday night. Taiwan Beer were edged by third ranked Taiwan Beer (6-8) 72-70. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian forward Gabriel Humphery (195-1997) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Swingman Hao-Chi Wang (195-1993) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Taiwan Beer players scored in double figures. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-1986, college: UAB, agency: Project B Sports) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks and the former international Bamba Sarr (200-1997) added 17 points in the effort for Yulon Luxgen. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taiwan Beer maintains third place with 6-8 record having just three points less than leader Bank of Taiwan. Yulon Luxgen at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. Taiwan Beer are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Changhua (#4) at home in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against the league's leader Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
