Regular Season Round 8: Changhua - Bank of Taiwan 84-73

Very important is a loss of second ranked Bank of Taiwan (4-4) against fourth ranked Changhua (2-6) on Saturday night. Bank of Taiwan was defeated by Changhua 84-73. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American forward Julian Boyd (203-1990, college: LIU Brooklyn) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Yi-Lun Chen (172-1998) supported him with 14 points and 9 assists. Even 24 points and 5 rebounds by swingman You-Hsu Chen (195-1990) did not help to save the game for Bank of Taiwan. Guard Chien-Yi Kao (185-1990) added 11 points and 4 assists for Changhua. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Changhua maintains fourth position with 2-6 record. Bank of Taiwan at the other side dropped to the third place with four games lost. Changhua will play against league's leader Taiwan Beer in Taipei in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Bank of Taiwan will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
