Regular Season Round 8: Taiwan Beer - Yulon Luxgen 92-81

There was a change at the SBL leadership position after last games. Round 8 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Yulon Luxgen (5-3). They were defeated by third ranked Taiwan Beer (5-3) 92-81 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Yulon Luxgen. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Taiwan Beer shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Cornelius Hudson (200-1993, college: Wake Forest) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Tzu-Kang Wang (183-1993) who added 15 points and 4 assists during the contest. American power forward Walter Sharpe (206-1986, college: UAB) responded with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Shih-Yuan Chou (190-1983) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yulon Luxgen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Taiwan Beer keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Yulon Luxgen. Yulon Luxgen will play next round against strong Bank of Taiwan trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Taiwan Beer will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Changhua on the road.
