Regular Season Round 21: Lioneers - Pilots 81-95

Very significant was Pilots' (#2, 14-5) victory against 4th placed Lioneers (10-12) 95-81. They outrebounded Lioneers 49-38 including 36 on the defensive glass. Pilots looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was Palestinian power forward Sani Sakakini (204-1988) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-1997) chipped in 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian forward Anthony Bennett (203-1993, college: UNLV) who recorded a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Shao-Chieh Kuo (190-1990) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pilots (14-5) keep a position of league leader, which they share with Kings. Loser Lioneers keep the fourth place with 12 games lost. Pilots will meet Fubon Braves (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lioneers will play against Fubon Braves and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
