Very significant was Taiyuan Textile's (#1, 4-0) victory against 3rd ranked Taipower (1-3) 77-68. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Tieh Lin (182-1999) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Hsiao-Tong Peng (168-1998) who added 10 points, 7 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Taiyuan Textile players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Xi-Ye Liu (173-1991) responded with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Qin-Yu Huang scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiyuan Textile have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Taipower at the other side keeps the third place with three games lost. Taiyuan Textile are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Chunghwa Telecom (#4) in the next round. Taipower will play against the league's second-placed Cathay Life and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
