T1 League top team - Aquas (5-2) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Leopards (1-4) in Kaohsiung 130-109. Aquas made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Aquas outrebounded Leopards 50-28 including a 34-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Leopards' players. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 19 rebounds for the winners and American-Filipino guard Jason Brickman (183-1991, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 20 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists. The best for the losing side was American Troy Williams (201-1994, college: Indiana, agency: MSG) with 37 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import Deyonta Davis (211-1996, college: Michigan St., agency: MSG) scored 26 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-2 record. Leopards lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with four games lost. They share it with Tainan GH. Aquas are looking forward to face GhostHawks (#5) in Tainan in the next round. Leopards will have a break next round.
