Regular Season Round 19: Steelers - Kings 101-92

Very important is a loss of second ranked Kings (15-10) against sixth ranked Steelers (7-19) on Sunday night. Kings were defeated by Steelers in a tough game 92-101. Steelers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Canadian forward Anthony Bennett (203-1993, college: UNLV) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds. American swingman Taylor Braun (201-1991, college: NDSU) accounted for 11 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists for the winning side. Five Steelers players scored in double figures. American forward Deandre Liggins (198-1988, college: Kentucky) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 18 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international power forward Quincy Davis (203-1983, college: Tulane) added 15 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Kings in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Steelers maintains sixth place with 7-19 record. Kings lost their fourth game in a row. Kings at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keep the second position with ten games lost. They share it with Fubon Braves. Steelers will meet higher ranked Dreamers (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kings will have a break next round.
