Regular Season Round 10: Bank of Taiwan - Pauian 90-76

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Pauian (1-21) was defeated by first ranked Bank of Taiwan (18-6) 90-76 on Saturday. Bank of Taiwan looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Jiahe Zhang (188-1996) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) chipped in 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Dashaun Wiggins (188-1991, college: Portland St.) responded with 21 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import power forward CJ Aiken (206-1990, college: St.Joseph's) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Bank of Taiwan and four Pauian players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bank of Taiwan have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-6 record, which they share with Taiwan Beer. Pauian lost fifteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 21 lost games. Bank of Taiwan will meet Jeoutai (#4) in the next round. Pauian will play against Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
