An exciting game was when First ranked Cathay Life faced 4th placed Chunghwa Telecom. Cathay Life (6-1) defeated Chunghwa Telecom (0-7) 62-49. Cathay Life forced 23 Chunghwa Telecom turnovers and outrebounded them 49-23 including a 19-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international swingman Yu-Ting Lin (179-1994) fired 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international Wei-An Chen (177-1995) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Cathay Life's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Hui-Ju Liu (163-1996) produced 15 points and swingman Yushu Lin (168-1996) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Taiyuan T. Chunghwa Telecom at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. Cathay Life is looking forward to face league's second-placed Taiyuan Textile in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Chunghwa Telecom will play against Taipower and hopes to get finally their first victory.
