Regular Season Round 3: Chunghua T. - Cathay Life 39-57

Very significant was Cathay Life's (#1, 3-0) victory against Chunghwa Telecom (0-3) 57-39. They outrebounded Chunghwa Telecom 48-36 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Yi-Xiu Zheng (178-93) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. The former international swingman Yu-Ting Lin (179-94) accounted for 11 points and 5 assists for the winning side. The former international guard Hui-Ju Liu (163-96) came up with 7 points and 6 rebounds and forward Shin-Hui Yang (175-89) added 7 points respectively for Chunghwa Telecom in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cathay Life will play against Taipower (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Chunghwa Telecom will play against Taiyuan Textile and hopes to get finally their first victory.
