Yulon Luxgen crushed the opponent 87-58 on Thursday night. Yulon Luxgen outrebounded Pauian 47-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Yulon Luxgen made 7 blocks. Guard Guan-Liang Lu (185-90) notched 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and American guard Dashaun Wiggins (188-91, college: Portland St.) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Yulon Luxgen players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by guard Guang-Qian Jiang (184-98) did not help to save the game for Pauian. Forward Jia-You Chiu (190-95) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for Yulon Luxgen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Yulon Luxgen will meet Taiwan Beer in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Pauian will play against Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
