Regular Season Round 18: Bank of Taiwan - Yulon Luxgen 60-64

Very significant was Yulon Luxgen's (#2, 23-11) victory against one of their biggest challengers Bank of Taiwan (14-19) 64-60. Point guard Li Kai-Yan (182-93) notched 8 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and forward Ba Ban (203-97) supported him with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Even a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds by American swingman Zak Irvin (198-94, college: Michigan) did not help to save the game for Bank of Taiwan. The former international forward Shih-Hsuan Su (195-96) added 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Yulon Luxgen (23-11) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position having two points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Bank of Taiwan at the other side keeps the third place with 19 games lost. Yulon Luxgen will play against bottom-ranked Pauian (#5) in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against Jutai Techn. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
