Regular Season Round 6: Fubon Braves - Lioneers 102-111

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Fubon Braves (6-1) against fourth ranked Lioneers on Sunday night. Lioneers were defeated by fourth ranked Lioneers (2-5) 111-102. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Fubon Braves. Lioneers made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Strangely Fubon Braves outrebounded Lioneers 53-37 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for American power forward Julian Wright (203-87, college: Kansas, agency: Alti Sport) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. The other American import forward LaDontae Henton (198-92, college: Providence) contributed with 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Lioneers players scored in double figures. Costa Rican-Belizean forward Charles Garcia (208-88, college: Seattle) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the former international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-88, college: BYU-Hawaii) added 29 points in the effort for Fubon Braves. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lioneers moved-up to third place. Fubon Braves at the other side still keep top position with one game lost.
