Regular Season Round 21: LG Sakers - Wonju DB 74-69

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Changwon. First ranked Sakers faced 4th placed Wonju DB. Host Sakers (17-6) defeated guests from Wonju (13-10) 74-69. It was a good game for Carl Tamayo who led his team to a victory with 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) contributed with 6 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. American center Henry Ellenson (208-1997, college: Marquette) answered with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and the former international forward Hyo-Geun Jeong (200-1993) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Wonju DB. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sakers. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-6 record. Wonju DB at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. LG Sakers will play against bottom-ranked Daegu (#10) in Incheon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wonju DB will play on the road against the league's second-placed Anyang (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
