There was no surprise when 8th rankedSkygunners (2-4) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Wonju DB (4-2) 83-76 on Saturday. American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) stepped up and scored 28 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and his fellow American import center Henry Ellenson (208-1997, college: Marquette) chipped in 22 points and 13 rebounds. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Filipino Kevin Quiambao (193-2001) responded with 29 points and 6 rebounds and American power forward Nathan Knight (208-1997, college: William & Mary) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Wonju DB moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Skygunners keeps the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Seoul Knights. Wonju DB will meet at home Suwon KT (#5) in the next round. Sono SG will play against the league's leader KCC Egis and hope to secure a win.
