No shocking result in a game in Changwon where third rankedSakers (4-2) defeated 7th ranked Samsung Thunders (2-3) 75-64 on Saturday. LG Sakers had a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import center Henry Ellenson (208-1997, college: Marquette) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Samsung Thunders keep the seventh position with three games lost. LG Sakers will meet at home bottom-ranked Daegu (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Seoul Thunders will have a break next round.
