We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th rankedKoGas (24-24) lost to sixth ranked Wonju DB (21-27) in Inchon 74-79 on Saturday. American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) notched 30 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American-Lebanese Omari Spellman (206-1997, college: Villanova) supported him with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists by Filipino guard Samjosef Belangel (177-1999) did not help to save the game for KoGas . Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) added 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four KoGas players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains sixth position with 21-27 record. KoGas lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 24 games lost.
