Very important is a road loss of third rankedSakers (26-16) against sixth ranked Wonju DB (19-24) on Monday night. Visiting Sakers were defeated by Wonju DB in a tough game in Wonju 63-67 . American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) nailed 23 points and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international forward Hyo-Geun Jeong (200-1993) accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) came up with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) added 9 points and 12 rebounds respectively for LG Sakers in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 19-24 record. LG Sakers at the other side dropped to the second position with 16 games lost. They share it with Mobis Phoebus. Wonju DB will play against Anyang (#7) on the road in the next round. LG Sakers will play against Sono SG (#9) and hope to get back on the winning track.
