No shocking result in a game in Changwon where second rankedSakers (25-15) defeated bottom-ranked Samsung Thunders (12-27) 74-62 on Thursday. LG Sakers outrebounded Seoul Thunders 40-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. LG Sakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Il-Young Heo (197-1985) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. The former international center Weon-Seok Lee (203-2000) responded with 16 points and American forward Glenn Robinson III (198-1994, college: Michigan) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sakers have a solid series of four victories in a row. LG Sakers maintains second place with 25-15 record having nine points less than leader Seoul Knights. Seoul Thunders lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 27 games lost.
