Regular Season Round 27: Wonju DB - KoGas 80-68

There was a small surprise when sixth rankedWonju DB (14-16) won against at home 4th placed KoGas (17-13) 80-68 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard In-Woong Park (186-2000) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Alvano is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Wonju DB players scored in double figures. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-1989, college: St.Bonaventure) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Nakhyeon Kim (180-1995) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for KoGas in the defeat. KoGas' coach Yoo Hoon rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains sixth place with 14-16 record. Loser KoGas dropped to the third position with 13 games lost. They share it with LG Sakers.
