Regular Season Round 26: Anyang - LG Sakers 82-86

There was no surprise when 10th rankedAnyang (8-22) was defeated at home by third ranked Sakers (17-13) 86-82 on Saturday. Filipino forward Carl Tamayo (200-2001) scored 31 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) chipped in 13 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. American swingman Deonte Burton (193-1994, college: Iowa St.) responded with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international point guard Jihoon Park (184-1995) scored 15 points. Four LG Sakers and five Anyang players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Sakers have a solid three-game winning streak. LG Sakers maintains third position with 17-13 record having seven points less than leader Seoul Knights, which they share with KoGas. Loser Anyang stay at the bottom place with 22 games lost.
