There was no surprise in Changwon where 9th rankedSkygunners (2-5) were defeated by fourth ranked Sakers (4-3) 87-73 on Thursday. Sakers dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Skygunners ' 26. They outrebounded Skygunners 45-24 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-1997) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Sakers players scored in double figures. Forward Jong-hyun Lee (191-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 assists and American Deyonta Davis (211-1996, college: Michigan St., agency: MSG) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Sakers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus and Anyang. Loser Skygunners dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Seoul Thunders.
