The game between Sono SG (1-3) and Seoul Thunders (1-2) in Daegu on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Seoul outscored Sono SG 98-78. Seoul Thunders dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sono SG's 24. They outrebounded Sono SG 50-22 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for Jamaican center Kofi Cockburn (213-1999, college: Illinois) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. Guard Seung-Uk Choi (187-1994) accounted for 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four Seoul Thunders players scored in double figures. Forward Jong-hyun Lee (191-1999) came up with 20 points and 5 assists and Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (207-1990, college: Ball St.) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Sono SG in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Seoul Thunders will meet at home KoGas (#7) in the next round. Sono SG will play against Mobis Phoebus where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
