Regular Season Round 2: LG Sakers - Wonju DB 76-85

There was no surprise in Changwon where LG Sakers were defeated by Wonju DB 85-76 on Thursday. The best player for the winners was American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) who scored 29 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward SangJae Kang (202-1994) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Wonju DB players scored in double figures. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds and guard Indeok Jeong (196-1994) added 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for the hosts. LG Sakers' coach Sung-Won Cho tested twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Wonju DB is looking forward to face KCC Egis in Jeonju in the next round. LG Sakers will play on the road against KoGas in Inchon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
