Regular Season Round 39: Seoul Knights - KCC Egis 95-91

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked KCC Egis (22-29) were defeated on the road by third ranked Seoul Knights (33-19) 95-91 on Friday. Seoul Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to KCC Egis' 50. Seoul Knights forced 20 KCC Egis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) who had a double-double by scoring 45 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Bukyung Bae (200-1989) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and guard Jiwan Kim (188-1990) added 20 points respectively. Four Seoul Knights and five KCC Egis players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Seoul Knights. Defending champion maintains third place with 33-19 record having just two points less than leader Anyang. KCC Egis lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with 29 games lost. Seoul Knights will meet league's second-placed LG Sakers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KCC Egis will play against Suwon KT (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
