Regular Season Round 35: Wonju DB - Goyang 91-96

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Goyang (22-22) beat on the road 8th ranked Wonju DB (17-25) 96-91 on Tuesday. Goyang made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Strangely Wonju DB outrebounded Goyang 35-23 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. The former international Lee Jung-Hyun (190-1999) accounted for 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side. The former international center Jongkyu Kim (207-1991) came up with 21 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) added 20 points and 10 assists respectively for Wonju DB in the defeat. Four Wonju DB players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Goyang maintains fifth place with 22-22 record. Loser Wonju DB keeps the eighth position with 25 games lost. Goyang will meet Suwon KT (#7) in the next round. Wonju DB will play against Mobis Phoebus and hope to secure a win.
